In 2009, Chinese government proposed the healthcare reform that has boosted the industry greatly by putting out billions of investment plans. Furthermore, in the newly developed 12th Five Year Plan, the healthcare segment has once again, become one of the key industries for new investments and projects.

Whist healthcare spending in the mature markets is flat; this segment is demonstrating a prominent growth in the emerging markets of Asia especially in China. The healthcare informatics market is expected to grow to the scale of RMB40 billion by 2015 in China, with a 25% annual growth rate. Among which, the EHR market will reach RMB3.5 billion.
